Hopper Barge designed for Inland waterways and Coastal Transport

Hopper barge is a vessel with a large open hold, used to load and transport dredged material. The barge is loaded by a Cutter Suction Dredger or by a Backhoe Dredger. The barge is self-propelled, and sails to the deposit area, where it unloads the soil. Our Hopper Barge designed to carry all kind of dredged materials, The hopper barge is a single deck vessel with the hopper in the middle and a steel hull, which opens along the center plane.

Recently we have designed a 19 meter hopper barge for APM marines to operate in Inland waters of Kerala. The vessel can operate at a speed of 6 knots. The mechanically operated winch ensures smooth operation of the 3 hoppers which can carry 30 tons of combined cargo weight.

The vessel is classified for inland waters and coastal transport of cargo. It is suitable for inland and upstream waterways. Our standardized design makes the vessel fit for a wide range of working environments and ensures high quality vessels available.
