A special package, “Explore Wayanad,” offers rafting for two nights and three days at a cost of Rs. 25,000, including food, angling and tent accommodation for an eight-member group.

The rafting package on the Kabani will begin at Vythiri and end at Bavali, near Barakuppa on the Kerala-Karnataka border.

The council has bought two Korean-made white water rafts, each at a cost of Rs. 2.5 lakh, camping materials, angling equipment and sleeping bags. Details may be had on (04936) 202 134 or 9847 884242.
