Vega 120 – hailed as the Kerala’s fastest inland ferry started its maiden trip to its proposed destination at Ernakulam covering the three pickup points in between.
75 passengers on board during the maiden trip from Vaikom enjoyed and experienced a comfortable ride in Vega voyaging through the Picturesqueness backwaters stretched along the national waterwayIII in less than 2 hours.
The Grand Inauguration launch held at the historical Vaikom old jetty by the Honorable Finance Minister of Kerala Shri Thomas Issac was truly auspicious indeed to both the visitors and the local commuters gathered.
“All the passengers enjoyed the trip and we Vaikom people already welcomed Vega 120 wholeheartedly “Said C.K Asha MLA, Vaikom.
“It took 1 hour 50 minutes for Vega 120 to reach Ernakulam from Vaikom and as we are expecting it will reduce so as the commuters can reach the city before the rush hour begins” added Sandith Thandasherry, CEO, Navgathi
